TOBRUK, LIBYA. 1941-08. THE ENTRANCE TO THE "SENUSSI HOSPITAL". THIS WAS A CONCRETE CAVE CONSTRUCTED ON THE EASTERN SIDE OF THE HARBOUR. ITALIANS HAD CONCRETED THE ROOF WHEN THE AUSTRALIANS CAPTURED THE AREA. BRITISH AND AUSTRALIAN MEMBERS OF THE ARMY SERVICE CORPS WORKED ON IT IN THE SUMMER OF 1941, DEVELOPING IT FOR USE AS A SUPPLY STORE.
