Three weeks after the 24th Australian Infantry Brigade arrived in Palestine from Tobruk a parade was held at Kilo 89 to mark the visit by the General Officer Commanding AIF, Lieutenant General Sir Thomas Blamey. General Blamey addresses the parade. With him on the dais is VX25 Brigadier (Brig) -Arthur Harry Langham Godfrey, Commanding Officer of 24th Infantry Brigade. (Brig Godfrey died of wounds in Egypt on 4 November 1942.)
