Description

A Parliamentary delegation representing Members of Parliament who were wartime airmen watch Mr Edward Gough Whitlam lay a wreath on the Inauguration Stone at the Australian War Memorial, Canberra on the 17th Sepember, 1958. This is the first occasion on which a delegation representing both Houses of Parliament and the Liberal, Labour [lLabor] and Country Parties have placed a wreath at the Memorial during Air Force Week. Members present are: F C Chaney, G D Erwin, C W J Falkinder, E M C Fox, G Freeth, B W Graham, D J Killen, P E Lucock, B M Snedden, E G Whitlam, H F Opperman, Air Vice Marshal W O Bostock, and Senators J O'Byrne, U S Vincent, Sir Alistair McMullin and N O'Sullivan.
