Description
Hidden under its effective camouflage, this sound detector is ready to pick up the sound of enemy aircraft. It is an essential part of a coast artillery anti-aircraft battery and is manned by US Army personnel. They are, left to right: Corporal Raymond Hayes of Suffield, Connecticut; Private First Class (Pfc) Alan Duff, US Army, of Norwalk, Connecticut; and (back to camera) Private Frank Tomczyk.
