Description
Typewritten copies of letters from Lance Corporal Charles Alfred Akers, 35 Battalion, 16 December 1916 - 6 October 1917. Letters were written to his mother and describe voyage over via South Africa; training in England, and active service in France until being killed in action at Passchendaele, 13 October 1917. Copies made 1927 and bound into AWM file cover. Location of originals unknown.
