History / Summary

Letters from Anderson to his friend Thomas show a developing friendship over the course of the correspondence. Anderson writes with warmth and respect for Thomas, and there is an inkling that Anderson would like to follow in the footsteps of Thomas to become an Anglican minister. There is mention of Anderson's brother Donald, (who also served), of other relatives and friends, and of a younger brother being educated in Tasmania. There are also references to other ex-students of Hutchin's School on active service.
