Description
Collection relating to service of Major John Goodall Avery, Australian Army Medical Corps, Egypt and France, 1916. Collection contains a copy of Avery's diary for the period 26 July 1916 to 25 December 1916 when Avery was attached to the 5th Field Artillery Brigade in France.
History / Summary
An interesting aspect of this diary is the description of casualites interspersed with details of Avery's purchases of sound recordings from Harrods.
