Collection relating to service of Chief Petty Officer William Collins, HMAS Berrima and HMAS Una, Australian Naval and Military Expeditionary Force (AN&MEF), New Guinea and New Britain, 1914. Collection includes letters written home to family members in Greenwich, England.

History / Summary

Biographical note: Served with HMAS Berrima, RAN. Served with HMAS Una. Died 21 May 1915, as a result of a fall in German New Guinea. Lived in Sydney, born in England?, educated Christ Church School Greenwich, England; joined the British Navy and later transferred to the Royal Australian Navy.
