Description

Collection relating to the First World War service of 475 Private Gordon Colin Cooper, 1 Australian Light Horse Regiment, Egypt and Palestine, 1916-1918. Collection consists of three original diaries containing brief entries covering Cooper's time with the Regiment providing details of his daily routines as well as the preparation for and recovery from desert actions, including the Battle of Romani, in which he participated. A typescript copy of these diaries exists at 2DRL/1114.
