Collection relating to service of 1333 Sergeant Jason Leslie Boyd Coulter, 8 Battalion, Gallipoli, 1915. Collection includes diary written by Coulter in Egypt and while on Gallipoli.

History / Summary

Biographical note: Served in the 8th Battalion, AIF. Died at Alexandria, Egypt , 10 August 1915, of wounds received at Gallipoli. Farmer, of Ballarat, Victoria, born Ballarat. Educated Granville College, Ballarat. Age at time of death 37. Brother of Major Leslie Jack Coulter DSO, 3 Australian Tunnelling Company, mining engineer (killed in action 28 June 1917, France) and Lieutenant Colonel Graham Coulter DSO (Gallipoli and France).
