Description
Collection relating to service of Lieutenant Ronald Berry Finlayson, 1 Battalion, Egypt and France, 1916. Collection includes extracts from Finlayson's letters describing voyage to Egypt and active service in France. Photostat copies made by the Australian War Memorial, 1928 from transcriptions made by Finlayson's mother. Location of originals unknown.

Biographical note: 1 Battalion, 5 November 1916 was killed in action near Flers. Other biographical details include: born Wollongong, NSW, educated Sydney Grammar School, was a Lieutenant in the Citizen Forces, age at time of death 26 years.
