Biographical note: 18659 Gunner Norman Kingsley Fletcher, 6 Medium Trench Mortar Battery, AIF who was killed in action on 29 September 1918 on the Bellicourt road near Ronssoy. Other biographical details concerning him are: accountancy student; of Sydney; born New Guinea; educated at the Sydney Grammar School; was a keen cricketer, playing in the school first eleven in 1914-1915 and in the interstate schools' match; enlisted in the AIF on 4 January 1916; age at time of death, 20.
