The volume contains photostat copies of numerous letters written by Captain Gordon Maxfield to his parents; a studio portrait photograph of Captain Maxfield (in uniform); photostat copies of newspaper clippings; Red Cross Enquiry Bureau messages, and a letter of condolence written by 62 Sergeant William Henry Davey, 24 Battalion.
