Biographical note: 5147 Private William James Gunn Murray, 58 Battalion. Killed in action, 27 March 1917, at Lagnicourt, France. Age 20. State school teacher of Warracknabeal and Horsham, Victoria; educated at Warracknabeal and Batchica state schools and at Warracknabeal higher elementary school. Son of William and Elizabeth Murray, of Murray Hill, Warracknabeal, Victoria.
