Description

Collection relating to the battle between the German SMS Emden and Australian HMAS Sydney off the North Cocos Keeling Islands on 9 November 1914. Collection consists of an original 'Rough signal log', 16 October - 8 November 1914, taken from SMS Emden following her destruction; as well as an English translation of the log book with a few annotations.
