Description

Papers of Corporal Arthur G. Thomas (3470), 6th Infantry Battalion (AIF). Letters home from the time of embarkation for overseas service on 11 October 1915. The collection is quite extensive and detailed. Typescript copies. Diary - Photocopy, 1916-1917. Regular detailed entries covering service in France. Notebook on war experiences, France 1916 and typescript of the same. Thomas was killed in action on 8 June 1918 near Strazeele, just east of Hazebrouck, northern France.
