Description
Collection relating to the First World War service of No 4084 Private Thomas Joseph Cleary, who served with 17 Battalion and 2nd Pioneers Battalion. The collection consists of two handwritten diaries, covering the period 1916 to 1919. The diaries contain regular lengthy entries describing the life of a front line soldier. They contain plenty of personal observations.
