Collection relating to the First World War service of 958 Lance Sergeant Charles Frederick Richmond Bosward, 4 Battalion, Gallipoli, 1915.

Wallet 1 of 1 - Collection consists of a handwritten copy of a diary kept by Lance Sergeant Bosward from 3 April 1915 to 4 August 1915. Bosward describes the landing at Gallipoli and his time on the peninsular describing condtions, actions and noting people he knew.

History / Summary

Charles Frederick Richmond Bosward was wounded during the attack on Lone Pine on 6 August 1915 and died of his wounds a week later on 14 August 1915. He is buried in Beach Cemetery, Gallipoli Peninsula, Canakkale Province, Turkey.
