Description
Collection relating to the First World War service of 2160 Lance Corporal John Dean Harvey MM, 23rd Infantry Battalion. Collection consists of four diaries for 1915, 1916, 1918 and 1919, written by Harvey covering his enlistment, training in England, service in France and his return to Australia. There are regular entries dealing with day to day activities. Also included is Harvey's pay book, a citation for a Bar to the Military Medal, and a Department of Defence statement of account.
