Collection related to the service of Alfred George Brown MC
Description
Reinforcements for the 6th Infantry Brigade undergoing bayonet training at Rollestone camp. Note the bright reflection from the flashing bayonet on the rifle of one of the soldiers. The men are holding magazine Lee-Enfield .303 rifles with attached Pattern 1888 bayonets. The soldier on the far right is probably an NCO instructor. Note also the white chalk excavation spoil the men are standing on.
