Description
The troopship Southland, carrrying Headquarters, 2nd Division, AIF, Headquarters, 6th Infantry Brigade, 21st Infantry Battalion and one Company of the 23rd Infantry Battalion and details, which was torpedoed at 9.51 am in the Agean Sea, near the Island of Agistrati. Two life boats are leaving the side of the sinking vessel (centre rear).
