Description
The ruined house, which when intact, was used as the 21st Battalion Headquarters from about 5 am to 8 pm on the 20 March 1917, during the unit's attack on Noreuil. The 6th Brigade Commander, General J Gellibrand CB, DSO also used it for a portion of the day. Two days later it was blown up after having been mined by the German in his retreat.
