Description
The original 1st Divisional Headquarters. General Bridges' dugout (centre) can be seen with 'GOC' posted over it. The shelter to the right was used by the general staff as an office. Inside the mess shelter on the left, Colonel CBB White was hit by a spent bullet and Major J Gellibrand was dangerously wounded. A little further to the left two other staff officers (Colonel Marshall and Captain WJ Forster) were also wounded.
