Group portrait of the Australian Mechanical Transport, the first Australian unit to arrive in France, photographed in England, just before its departure for France. (The Australian Park was attached to the 17th Imperial Division on arrival of the 1st Division in France. A Park (609th M T) was formed in England in March 1916, and at the end of this month they took over the 17th Division Park, the Australian personnel of which became the 1st Australian Ammunition Sub-Park).
