Pre war portrait of Lieutenant Colonel (Lt Col) Robert Scobie in peace time uniform, on his cap he is wearing the badge of the 4th Infantry Regiment c 1895 - 1900. Lt Col Scobie was later Commanding Officer of the 2nd Battalion and was killed in action on 6 August 1915, age 44 years.
