Portrait of Captain (Capt) Arthur Henry Cobby DSO DFC, of No. 4 Squadron, Australian Flying Corps. Capt Cobby was officially credited with the confirmed destruction in combat of twenty nine aircraft, the highest number of any Australian airman of the First World War and therefore Australia's leading 'Ace'. Capt Cobby left Southhampton, United Kingdom, aboard the Kaisar-i-Hind on 6 May 1919, bound for Australia.
