Informal group portrait of four officers of the 1st Battalion at Anzac. Major Philip Geoffrey Powys Hill is first left and Lieutenant George Frederick Wootten (later General Sir George Wootten) is third from left smoking a cigarette. The other two men are unidentified. Major Hill received a serious gunshot wound to his stomach on 24 May 1915 and he was evacuated to Malta where he died on 9 June.
