A cemetery near Hellspit at Anzac Cove. The grave to the left of the bush is that of Captain Edward Frederick Robert Bage of the 3rd Field Company Australian Engineers, of Melbourne VIC, who was killed in action 7th May 1915, age 27. Highly gifted, Edward Bage matriculated at age 14 and trained as a civil engineer and a surveyor and took part in Douglas Mawson's Australasian Antarctic Expedition (1911-1914). The large cross (centre) marks the grave of Lieutenant William Henry Dawkins of the 2nd Field Company Divisional Headquarters Australian Engineers, of Rochester VIC, who was killed in action on 20 May 1915, age 22. The other graves are unidentified.
