c. 1915. Portrait of Private (Pte) Jack Trevan of 14th Battalion. Pte Trevan enlisted in October 1914 and served as a bugler. He was wounded at Gallipoli and died at sea on 29 April 1915. Pte Trevan is holding his bugle with the tasselled cord which usually winds around the bugle hanging from his shoulder.
