Corbie Abbey showing effects of shellfire
Description
Between April and May 1918, the town of Corbie was heavily shelled by frequent intervals and the church was badly damaged by many direct hits. A Brigade Headquarters and reserve troops were billeted in the town during the defence of the Amiens sector.
