The Australian War Memorial in Canberra
Description
Depicts the artist, Louis McCubbin's impression of the Australian War Memorial , as he visualised it in 1929. A competition for the design of the Australian War Memorial was held in 1926 and the winning and final design developed by two architects, Emil Sodersteen and John Crust, in 1928. The Australian War Memorial opened to the public in 1941.
