Landgirls 1916-18
Description
Depicts a member of the Landgirl army ploughing a field with two horses. Other members are riding horses in the background. Farm houses can be seen in the middle distance. This is one of a group of paintings that came into the Memorial's collection in 1938, many of which depicted homefront activities. As these were created some time after the war, it is understood that some subjects were derived from Crozier's experience and that some were drawn from photographs in the Memorial's collection.
