Model for base of 'Simpson and his donkey', Melbourne Shrine
Description
This maquette features a large structure resembling rocks and masonry bricks. On the front is a large, smooth cross and up the top is a small figure of Simpson, his donkey and a wounded man. Charles Oliver was a sculptural assistant to Paul Montford on the Melbourne Shrine of Remembrance.
