Army Workshop
Description
An electrical and mechanical workshop of 12 Australian Army Troops Company. The central figure is QX41927 Sapper Edward "Shorty" Kellow, shown welding, assisting him is Q153295 Sapper Roy Edward Emery. Crouching, in middle distance setting up a bearing is Q149108 Sapper Henry Caplin and beyond forge in the background is Q104822 Sapper Timothy Maher, blacksmith. All electrical installation was done by this workshop as well as refrigeration, mechanical jobs, lathe work, fitting, smithing, welding, and diesel and internal combustion repairs.
