Gunner in tin hat and sheepskin coat
Description
Portrait of an unidentified gunner from the 2nd Australian Imperial Force during the North African campaign. Dargie noted, "Typical of the garb of the troops in the winter in Lebanon. He wears a Syrian sheepskin coat, and his background is formed by a camouflaged Italian ground sheet captured in Cyrenaica"
