Australian pilot tests his engine and controls (Flight Lieutenant James Franks)
Description
The monsoon is over and on the first fine day the pilots are down at the strip to check up on the condition of their planes. In this sketch the pilot warms up his engine. A member of his ground crew, an unidentified English lad, stands on the wing and looks into the cockpit, whilst the wind of the slipstream blows back his hair and clothes. The pilot is A403731 Flight Lieutenant J. Franks of No. 134 Squadron, Ratnap, India.
