Bootmaker
Description
The bootmaker at work at his bench is surrounded with the implements of his trade, and boots in all stages of repair and disrepair. The horseshoes for the heels are on the sloping piece of board on the left and in the bottom left hand corner can be seen the drum of water in which the soles are soaked before being applied to the boots. The bootmaker is Corporal Francis Eustace (VX144198), and the other man is Lance Corporal Hugh McCallum (VX75090).
