Sea-front at Kalamata
Description
Kalamata was one of the evacuation beaches at the withdrawal of British Forces from Greece in April 1941. On the night of April 26-27th nearly 9,000 troops, including the 16th and 17th Australian Infantry Brigades, were embarked from this beach.
