Description
Depicts a carrying party on the track. In 9th Australian Infantry Battalion a great deal of this work was done by the Tank Attack Platoon. The personnel pictured are (left to right) Private Dudley Wilksch (V506540), Private Leonard Acworth (QX59210), Corporal Walter Freeman (QX34800), and Private Harold Lyons (VX107107), all of whom are carrying 30lb mortar bomb boxes. All were in fighting on the Numa Numa trail and Jaba River area.
