Description
When the Japanese gave permission for a stock of books to be brought into the camp from Raffles Library in Singapore, their constant repair was essential. This was carried out with odds and ends of rag and paper, rice paste and latex and home-made presses. Men repairing library books with improvised equipment and materials.
