Lost patrol returns
Description
Lieutenant V. Passlow's patrol, returning at night to "C" Company Headquarters, 57/60th Australian Infantry Battalion after being cut off and making their way back through the scrub. The men have collapsed outside the Signal tent and the signaller sends a message to appraise Battalion Headquarters of their return. All of their gear had been abandoned, the men bringing back only their arms, Finisterre Ranges, New Guinea.
