Description
Showing workmen at the stern of one of the "Lighters ships". The huge crane which moved between the ships under construction, would be constantly seen moving huge sections of the ship into position. The ship is blocked up, and when launched, a tractor gives the necessary push to start the huge ship down the incline into the sea. Launching lines can be seen. This method of launching and building this type of ship is the only type of it's kind in the world, Tulloch's Ship Yards, Rhodes, Sydney.
