Coming aboard ship
Description
Dargie noted of this work, "Troops and merchant seamen climb aboard a Liberty ship, up the Jacob's Ladder, in Lae Harbour. The troops are personnel who man the ship's A.A. guns and just before the sketch was made they had been doing life boat drill with other members of the crew. Hence they are wearing the "Mae West" [life jackets]".
