Lieutenant E Armstrong
Description
Portrait of VX6205 Lieutenant Ernest Charles Armstrong, 2nd Australian Imperial Force. Lieutenant Ernest Charles Armstrong (VX6205) served with the 2/8th Battalion before being captured in Greece. Armstrong was held at Oflag VB and Oflag VIB (POW 1791 RTA). After the surrender of Germany in May 1945, Armstrong was sent to the repatriation centre at Eastbourne.
