Brigadier Harold Taylor
Description
Commander of 22nd Australian Infantry Brigade, Brigadier Harold Burfield Taylor, MC, VD (NX34724). Taylor had served in the First World War. When he was imprisoned in Changi, Taylor established and guided the education scheme, known as 'Changi University', which included courses on agriculture, medicine, engineering, debating, art (run by Murray Griffin), and was a popular and instructional past time.
