Warrant Officer 2 John Cox
Description
Depicts a portrait of Warrant II John Fabian Cox (NX58736), Headquarters staff, Australian Army Survey Corps, 8th Australian Division. Cox became a prisoner-of-war following the fall of Singapore and did not survive the war. Sent to work on the infamous Thai-Burma Railway he died of disease aged 32 on 9th November 1943. John Cox is one of 3770 Allied casualties buried at the Thanbyuzayat War Cemetery in Myanmar.
