Felling rubber trees, Changi
Description
Members of the Forestry Unit felling rubber trees for firewood. This unit was one of the first established by the prisoners upon their captivity. Wood was a necessity for cooking their rations and to also build equipment and accommodation around their camp. While a prisoner, Griffin occupied his time by recording the everyday going ons of the camp.
