Description
From Wewak Point looking across the isthmus to the swamplands and ranges to the Southeast. Japanese landing craft and ships sunk and wrecked on beach and in bay. Tents cover 25 pounder guns which bombarded hilly positions of Japanese under siege in 1945. Whole area in foreground heavily saturated with Navy and Aerial bombing and shelling.
