Huggins Road block on the Sanananda Road, New Guinea
Description
On Sanananda road approaching Sanananda Point. A strategic block astride Japanese Lines of Communications when heavy fighting took place. The drawing was done from life on the spot with the Allies fiercely engaging the Japanese on the east side of the road. Scene at Huggins Road Block on the Sanananda Road during action, American soldiers in camp resting and washing, Australian platoon moving up for action, wounded carried by natives away from battle.
