"The road to the sea-front, Mersa Matruh". Admiralty House on left, a destroyer in the harbour. The destroyer made trips from Tobruch, landing wounded for the Mersa Matruh hospital or for train transport to Alexandria. Sometimes she went through to Alexandria, calling at Mersa Matruh for fuel, or to load stores for Tobruch'.
